In  this post, I want to dive a little deeper into the concept of “Change”.

In the Secrets of Self Trust Masterclass, I spoke about how we’ve all been conditioned (through the generations) as a collective to suppress our own intuitive wisdom. This has been going on since at least the destruction of the Minoan culture in 1500 B.C.

This means you were born into this conditioning. And, as a young child, you unknowingly chose it as your own belief system. All of us did. But it is not your nature. It actually goes against the natural rhythm of nature. And you can choose to let go of these beliefs and choose new ones.

Your true nature still lies within. Secrets to be remembered. And you can choose to believe in them again.

Nature embraces change, thrives on change, evolves through change. The change of seasons. The cycles of life and death. Rebirth arising from death.

And, whether you embrace it or not, you ARE a part of nature. You ARE nature. You can’t separate yourself from it or conquer it… although we live in a society that tries. You are interwoven with it, interdependent to it.

And thankfully, the wisdom of the I’Ching, a 5000 year old wisdom from Ancient China that holds the wisdom of nature, has survived this age of “conquering and suppressing individual wisdom”. The I’Ching doesn’t contain secrets. It sparks the remembrance of the secrets within you, your true nature.

And the basis of the I’Ching is that any circumstance in nature can be broken down to a string of yin and yang moments.

Nature (and therefore, you – because you can’t separate yourself from nature) are designed to flow effortlessly from Yin to Yang and back again, riding the waves of yi (the frequency of Change). But the conditioning would have you predominantly be in Yang all the time.

That is not natural. And the never-ending action taken based on what you’ve been told you should do (what is logical and reasonable) keeps you from receiving what would naturally receive you if you would just stay still long enough.

So what is the first step to burn down the old habits, beliefs, and behaviors that you find yourself conditioned into repeating again and again.

The answer isn’t what your mind will want to hear. The answer is to not try to figure it out or fix it with your mind. The answer is to question how you’re using your energy. To get curious about where you’re choosing to spend your time.

To bring awareness to any patterns of busyness you use to distract yourself. Just awareness. Don’t try to change anything.

Be gentle on yourself. You were born into a society that pressured you into these ways of being.

The first act of courage is to be brave enough to be gentle. To be understanding and compassionate towards yourself. To understand that, of course, you chose these patterns and behaviors because of the conditions you were born into. To be curious about how you chose these patterns unconsciously when you were a child… because of course you did.

In order to rise above the conditioning and the pressure of society and return to the higher frequency of your heart … you first need to realize that there’s nothing you need to do or fix (that i s the conditioning itself). Just go easy on yourself.

THIS IS THE MAIN SECRET OF SELF-TRUST.

As you bring more gentleness and acceptance to these patterns within you that you don’t like, you loosen your grip on trying to figure it all out and get it right, and you’ll remember that there’s an easier way to navigate life than through the exhausting nature of your mind’s reasoning (as the mind is NOT designed for decision making) …

You then create a space for a new possibilty. To tap into the frequency of yi (Change) that is always there…. instead of resisting Change as you’ve been conditioned to. This is the foundation of Self-Trust: trusting that you’re designed to navigate Change.

You create the space to actually hear your Truth… and maybe even practice trusting your Heart and your gut again. Start with small decisions. Practice. You have all the answers.

In the next post, we’ll talk about the idea of “safety” and how to do this safely.
