Human Design Individual Channels – Guiding Humanity through Self Empowerment

In this post, we’re going to dive into the individual channels in your human design chart. This is a really great way to understand the high level theme of your channels and gates without actually needing to know the specifics of each channel on gate, which takes a lot of time and research to dive into. 

In the Individual Circuit Group, there are three circuits. To understand this, think about the channels in your human design chart as circuitry, actual electrical circuits that fires electricity through your nervous system in particular ways and govern how energy moves through your system. 

There are three different circuit groups: Individual which has a theme of empowerment (which we’ll be going over today), Collective which has a theme of sharing, and Tribal, which has a theme of support. 

So when you can look at your chart and see that you have channels in one of these three circuit groups, you can understand the high level theme of “empowerment” that you are designed to live out. So even without knowing the specifics of the individual channels, you can look at your chart at a high level and get some really valuable information.

If you have a lot of individual channels, the theme of Empowerment will be very important for you. And specifically, self empowerment, as that leads to collective empowerment, the empowerment of others. These channels are about first empowering yourself to live your most unique life, and then letting that life empower others to live their most unique life. 

Here’s an image of all the Individual Circuitry in one place:

You can see that all of the individual channels are either in the center column, or in the interior of the chart. There are no channels on the outside of your chart in the individual circuit group. This is because it’s about your internal world.

Now let’s look at the three circuit groups of the Individual Circuitry, starting with The Knowing Circuit. 

The Knowing Circuit. 

People with a lot of channels in this circuit group are truly agents of evolution. They’re here to guide the direction of the collective. Let’s look at the channels that make up the center column of the chart, starting at the bottom and working our way up. 

First we have Channel 60-3, the Channel of Mutation, connecting the Root Center (drive, motivation) to the Sacral Center (life force, sexuality). This channel is all about bringing mutation into the world. Then, as we continue up the chart, we have Channel 14-2, connecting your Sacral Center to your G Center (identity, direction) which is about using the sacral energy in order to innovatively guide a group towards a direction.

Next, we have Channel 1-8 connecting your G Center to your Throat Center (expression, manifestation), a pulsing creativity to manifest and promote that direction through expression into the world. That is how the energy flows from your Root up to your Throat. 

Then the energy is also flowing from your Head down to your Throat. Channel 61-24 connects your Head Center (pressure to think) to your Ajna Center (where thinking happens). Intuitive wisdom comes down through gate 61, the Gate of Mystery, which results in the pressure to muse about the mysteries of life. Then, Gate 24 tries to rationalize the mysteries and determine what is useful to share, resulting in the intuitive insights of Gate 43 that are then meant to be spoken in the correct moments through Gate 23. When spoken in the correct moments, great breakthroughs and quantum leaps can happen for others.  

So, this circuit group has the drive and motivation to mutate the world coming from the Root up to the Throat, guiding groups to a new direction through pulsing creativity. And it also has intuitive insights that can create quantum leaps for the collective when spoken in the correct moments, all of the gates and channels carrying the energy of empowerment. 

The other channels in this circuit group have their own unique flavors too, still under the umbrella of empowerment. Those channels, we’ll have to save for another post. 

If you have gates and channels in this circuit, you’re here to empower others by being an example of your uniqueness, unique insights, and unique drives. And by being an example of your uniqueness, you are ensuring the survival of humanity long term, because you’re making sure that we’re evolving as a collective. The Knowing Circuit demands an audience to bring these mutations and innovative insights into the world, through the throat.

The Centering Circuit

The Centering Circuit  is made up of only two channels, as you can see in this image: Channel 34- 10 and Channel 51-25. 

This Circuit is about specifically empowering others to love themselves. Gate 10 is nicknamed the Gate of Self Love in the G center. When connected to Gate 34 in the Sacral, the Gate of Power, it’s all about using your energy to fully live your uniqueness and to love yourself and life so much, that you trust where your Sacral is guiding you no matter what. It’s the thrill of being yourself. And it’s the power to act according to what your nature is, not what your mind has learned to think about you. 

And Channel 51-25 is about being ready to leap into the void to start something new and shock yourself or others out of their comfort zone.

These 2 channels are about centering in who you really are and going your own way. And if you have one of the channels or some of the gates, it’s a big influence on the rest of your chart. If you do have some of this Circuit defined in your chart, you may feel like an outsider. If you do, be gentle with yourself. Love your outsider-ness and know that the correct people are going to love you for it, and be empowered by it. 

It’s important that you do because when you have an impact on people, you can feel really, really inspired. If you’re not having an impact on people you can end up getting really melancholic and feeling lonely and depressed. So being involved in the world, making an impact is what keeps you moving in line with your design. 

The Integration Circuit 

The last circuit we’re going to talk about in the individual circuit group is the Integration Circuit. This is a really interesting part of the human design chart. It’s the only part of the chart where one gate can be connected to multiple gates. And the four gates that make up the Circuit connect four centers: your sacral center, spleen, G, and throat. Therefore, they connect the themes of energy/life force, instincts/intuition, identity/direction, and expression/manifestation. 

This circuit is all about empowering others through a deep presence, by letting your actions and behavior bubble up in the now while trusting the wisdom of your instincts and sacral to guide you to what’s correct for you. It includes channels, 57-34, 57-10, 34-20, and 10-20, with Gate 20 being the Gate of the Now and Gate 57 being the Gate of Intuitive Insight. It doesn’t include 57-20 (which is in the knowing circuit) or 34-10 (which is in the Centering Circuit). 

This Circuit is about being self absorbed and not feeling guilty about it, especially if you have gate 34. And it’s about you thriving when you follow your own path and live in the now. 

So that covers the entire Individual Circuit Group.
