Reflectors are one of the four primary Human Design Types. In Business Human Design, they are called Evaluators. They are designed to create impact and success by evaluating trends over time and helping to guide groups.
Having 9 Open Centers, it means you are flexible and agile in all 9 Leadership Areas (Drive/Motivation, Emotional Intelligence, Energy, Instincts/Intuition, Willpower, Direction, Expression, Thinking, and Navigating Pressure). There isn’t a consistent way you’re meant to operate in the day-to-day. However, there is a consistency in how you operate over a 28-day cycle. You can experience many different ways of operating in these areas, seeing what works and doesn’t in a variety of situations over time, making you a great guide for groups and direction over time. any given environment.
The most important first step to position yourself to evaluate trends effectively over time is to get into the correct environment, an environment where you feel seen in your gifts and talents and can take the time to make decisions. This mean the correct home situation, the correct work environment, the correct geographical location, etc..
When you’re in the correct environment, everything flows more easily for you. Now, how do you know what the environment is? It isn’t a logical decision-making process. It is an energetic decision-making process.
Your body naturally gathers information over time. It’s important to let as many decisions as possible, especially big decisions, percolate over 28 days. Regarding the decision of choosing the correct environment, it’s about noticing how you feel, think, express, are noticed or not noticed in your gifts in your environment(s), appreciated or not appreciated, recognized or not, etc.
And it’s important to notice if you experience surprise and delight in your environment vs. dissatisfaction and boredom. Over 28 days, you’ll start to see the trend of how your gifts and expression are received or not received in your environment, how comfortable you are or not, and how much surprise you get to feel (a sign you’re on the right track).
If, after 28 days of really noticing the trends inyour environment and how you’re experienced in it, it’s becoming clear it isn’t correct for you, it’s important to begin setting the stage to shift into a new environment. This clarity comes over time as your body naturally interprets a larger perspective.
While everyone else is seeing the sentence, you’re seeing the paragraph. You’re seeing the big trend, the overall cycle that you’re in, that the world is in, that your team is in, that your community is in, and you’re able to evaluate the bigger view of what’s going on. And those trends come into clarity over time. So the best roles for you are those where you have the time to see the trends over the longer periods (at least 28 days).
Over that time, you’ll experience many different thoughts and feelings and opinions and drives and motivations about a particular decision. Let all of that run its course, not reacting to any particular high or low, or deciding based on one piece of information (which can be tempting because it’s how most of the population is designed to make decisions). Each piece is a part of the larger trend and its place will make sense over time.
After the initial 28 days, you’ll start to see the bigger picture and can see the monthly trend repeat if you observe another 28 days. You’ll get to a place of clarity where all the information will suddenly make sense, all the energetic information that you gathered can then inform your process and choice.
Physiologically in your body, this is happening as various gates are activated in your chart temporarily by those in your environment and by the Moon as it travels through the sky, temporarily activating each of your 64 Gates in the same order over a 28-day cycle, allowing the consistency of your nature to be seen over that period of time (the paragraph).
The best part is you don’t need to think about decisions and try to figure them out with your brain. If you allow your process to unfold, clarity will come. Slow down, get out of your head, get out of your emotions about decisions, and become the observer. Notice and witness how your energy and your emotions change over time without giving into them, without letting them run your daily life. Notice the bigger trend, the bigger pattern in those groups in those communities and how you feel and how you experience yourself in those groups, but also how other people experience you.
If you’re not an Evaluator, but you have Evaluators in your life or you think you might on your team or in your communities or in your entrepreneurial collaborations, it’s important to give them time and space to realize their genius. The way that they are going to create abundance for themselves and for any group or community or team is by slowing down to see the bigger trends, to see the market conditions, to witness what’s working and what isn’t in the teams, what’s making a team effective or ineffective.
They can see where energy and willpower is being used correctly or incorrectly or where emotions are overexpressed or oversuppressed that creates unneccessary resistance, etc. If given the opportunities and empowered to do so, they can see the trends, both internal and external to their teams, organizations, and communities over a month or months, to be able to guide groups.
It’s really important that Evaluators are recognized for their ability to see those big trends, encouraged to, to be able to be in a position or a role or an environment where they can analyze and reflect and gather information energetically. A role that involves gathering information from a wide variety of people is a great role for most Evaluators.
Now, for daily decisions that need to be made and can’t wait 28 days (of which there are a lot), those become a lot easier when you’re in the correct environment, paying attention to the bigger trends and starting to guide yourself, your communities, your groups, and your organizations along the path that you see over time, not making too many rash, logical or emotional decisions in the day to day until you’ve given yourself that time to step back, step back and see the bigger trend.
Then, when you follow that wisdom that comes over time and you’re in the correct environment in the correct direction, the daily and weekly decisions and hourly decisions that come up across your path in that correct environment and direction will be a lot easier to make and you can make them informed by the greater trends and the greater path you’re moving down.
Do your best to make the daily and weekly decisions from a centered, calm place. Let the truth within your body in any given moment, your instincts, your intuition, whatever feels really certain within you as much as it can be to guide you over your logic or your emotions.
Then, as you start to zoom out on the bigger decisions and reposition your life, this bigger path that’s more correct for you or your groups, then those decisions get easier and easier. So as a leader, you’re here to bring balance to groups, you’re here to bring balance to communities, to your family, to environments you’re a part of. You can see not only the bigger trends for you over time but for those around you, the groups you’re a part of, that’s why there are only 1% to 2% of you on the planet.
Like I said, everyone else is seeing the sentence, you’re seeing the paragraph. So when you put yourself in positions to use that skill set in a business context or organizational context, or you position yourself with a group that wants you to give them that perspective, that’s where abundance really starts to flow for you.
So it might start looking like giving yourself a little patience and making some initial shifts to your environment that start to get you down that road.
Disappointment is a key marker for you. Disappointment is your off-track theme. Surprise and delight is your on-track theme.
So if you’re on track, follow your surprise, follow your delight. Each day for you is different which is why you wait over those 28 days as you’re experiencing so many different ways of different emotions, different energy with different levels of energy, different experiences of will power, different experiences of instincts and intuition, different experiences of joy and purpose and different experiences of expression.
So each day you get to experience so many different ways of operating, depending on who you’re around and what’s going on in the world. You get to experience a lot and there’s a lot of surprise and delight, which is what Reflectors / Evaluators love. And it’s a good way to know you’re on track.
If you’re feeling disappointment or boredom, that’s a good marker that you’re off track and that’s a time to pause to zoom out and to realize you’re probably in the wrong direction. And if you’re disappointed with yourself, the world, or your team, just don’t react to that disappointment.
Notice it and don’t keep driving down this path. Slow down and redirect course, taking some time to get some information and redirect your team’s activities.
I hope this post supported you!
