In the last post, we dove into creating true safety in your life, safety that transcends external conditions. The safety that is inherent when you follow the call of your heart and begin to Trust your deep knowing more and more.
Today, I want to give you a tool you can use to begin to increase your Self-Trust each day. It’s called a Personal Creed.
And it’s something I read each morning to support me in transcending society’s conditioning and deepening my remembrance and trust in my own Truth and knowing.
The invitation is to replace the endless list of DEEDS your Mind creates for you with a Personal Creed that centers you into the deeper Truth of who you’re remembering you are.
Below, you can gain access to a Personal Creed Worksheet and a Personal Creed example to help you create your own. Once you gain access, create a copy of the Worksheet so you can edit it for yourself and create your own Creed.
This email is giving you all the information you’ll need to fill out the worksheet.
First, beliefs.
In the “Secrets of Self Trust” Masterclass, you learned that all of your beliefs are NOT you. They are energetic material that exist in your subtle bodies outside of your physical body.
And you learned that you choose these beliefs throughout your life, even when you are pre-verbal. And you choose them for good reason: to protect yourself and to give yourself orientation and direction through a period of life.
However, beliefs are only meant to be temporary. To get you through a period of your life/evolution. Unfortunately, due to the conditioning we were all born into, you end up holding onto beliefs for far too long, thinking you need them long after their usefulness has expired. Even thinking they ARE you.
The invitation here is to begin loosening your grip on beliefs you “think” are still protecting you / serving you… but are actually holding you back.
So, as you’re filling out the worksheet, begin to get curious about what beliefs you are holding that no longer serve you. Get curious about the beliefs that keep creating the reality you don’t want. And begin to get playful about what beliefs you’d like to choose instead.
Choose beliefs that support the life you truly desire.
Second, your principles.
What principles do you want to begin living into. What non-negotiables will you choose. In your relationships, in your work, etc.
Don’t only choose the principles you’re already living. Choose some you want to live into, to commit to more intentionally.
You’re going to write your creed in a way that honors taking small steps outside your comfort zone towards living into these new principles.
You don’t need to shift overnight.
But, with consistent declaration of who you’re becoming each morning, you can center yourself at the beginning of each day into who you are, versus waking up and diving right back into your conditioning out of habit.
Third, turning your complaints into desires.
Abraham Hicks has said that “Consistent Complaints are just Unstated Desires.” And this has been a life-changing Truth for me.
What you notice yourself complaining about regularly is a marker of a desire that hasn’t been fulfilled, or even stated. And, when you start to state your desires instead of complaining, you start to work with the flow of Change/Nature instead of against it. You start to work with the energy of what you DO want, vs. what you DON’T.
Some examples:
- Consistent Complaint: “I doubt myself a lot.”
- Unstated Desire: “I want to feel calm, at peace, and secure.”
- Consistent Complaint: Lack of consistent money coming in causes me to feel insecure, depressed, and fall into bad habits.”
- Unstated Desire: I desire a consistent flow of money so I always feel secure.”
So, as you’re filling out the worksheet, take some time to become aware of your consistent complaints and begin to shift them into desires.
Finally, write your Personal Creed:
Take the new beliefs, principles, values, and desires you discovered and chose through the Worksheet and write out a Personal Creed in paragraph form.
This is something you will read each morning, declaring yourself into existence.
Remember, in the Masterclass, you learned that how you perceive yourself and the world tells your DNA what Amino Acids and Proteins to “code” for, building you in whichever way you choose in each moment.
So you don’t want to use language that doesn’t feel true. E.g. if you don’t actually feel calm, at peace, and secure, you don’t want to declare “I feel peace, calm and secure.” because there will be dissonance with the beliefs you currently hold as true.
You want to gently shift these beliefs over time, through Awareness and Acceptance.
To do this, use language of “becoming”, e.g.
- Instead of “I feel calm, at peace, and secure.”
- I feel more calm, at peace, and secure each and every day.
Print out your Creed. Laminate it. Honor it. Honor who you GET to choose you’re becoming. Honor the Truth of YOU that you’re remembering. Read it each morning to start your day.
YOUR WORDS AND THOUGHTS CREATE YOUR REALITY.
Practice shifting them from complaints/limiting to desires/possibility.
